Watermelon diet: what's the point?

Specifically, after breakfast, lunch and dinner you need to eat a few slices of watermelon as a dessert, as well as about 12 hours (lunch time) to eat 3-4 slices of juicy watermelon. But don’t go too far: you can eat up to 2kg of watermelon a day in total, but no more.

Watermelon diet is 90% water. Despite the fact that watermelon is a sugar product, its caloric content is considered low, not more than 40 kcal per 100 g of watermelon pulp. Due to this property, watermelon perfectly saturates, suppresses the feeling of hunger, and at the same time absorbs almost instantly.

In addition to water, watermelons are high in fiber, which helps restore the efficient functioning of the digestive system and removes excess fluid from the tissues.

So, watermelon diet is a great remedy for edema. Together with water, harmful substances and toxins are washed out of tissues and skin cells, which means that the skin is cleansed, rejuvenated and gets a healthier look.

The watermelon diet needs to focus on protein foods and vegetables, with sweets, fats and alcohol excluded from the menu for a while. The latter is complete and without exception. The fact is that watermelon along with alcohol often causes severe indigestion.

The duration of the watermelon diet should not exceed 10 days, the next course can be taken no earlier than a month later. These ten days are enough to end up with 2 to 6 kilograms.
